Disability Insurance

The Employer Group offers Short Term and Long Term Disability coverage through Unum Life Insurance Company of America.

Group Short Term Disability

The Employer Group's Group Short Term Disability plan is a voluntary benefit that provides flexible income continuation benefits for those individuals who become disabled. Short Term Disability will pay a maximum of 66.6% of the employee’s weekly income. This benefit begins after the 7th or 14th (depending on which the employee selected on their enrollment paperwork) day of disability and may continue for up to 13 weeks.

Group Long Term Disability

The Employer Group provides Long Term Disability Insurance to all eligible employees. In the event an employee becomes disabled, the employee can receive salary continuation benefits for an extended period of time. Long Term Disability will go into effect after 90 days of disability. Employees receive 60% of their pre-disability income.
